By definition the ideas that are suggested will be those that people have energy for, so they could take many forms and cover vastly different territory. They could be modest or ambitious, for just a few people or for many. We expect there to be a variety and the kinds of things that are suggested will no doubt change over time. Some ideas have already emerged.

For example:

• how can I have and hold more conversations about uncertainty?
• what would a Yellow Mardi Gras look like?
• how could I explore what I really long for in my work?
• would it be possible to run a self-organising reading weekend?
• can I do a Reading Weekend in Spanish?
• how would a 24 hour chair game work and where could we do it?

Some projects are already in hand. The first idea we put into practice was the letter writing project that came out of 3D 2024. Following that, two of our own are:

• ‘Everything Moves’ with Michael Foley (which was full within hours)
• Yellow Olives

The second of these is the first experiment with a new kind of hosting in that it will be hosted by Rob and Jorge, not Rob and Alex.

And as we write, it looks like ‘Yellow Mardi Gras’ is moving from being a possible project to a live project…
