Alex and Rob will act as creative directors and editors. New ideas will come through us, i.e. someone will suggest something to one, or other, or both of us and we will explore it with them.

We will make suggestions, weed out ideas we don’t think fit, help with design and organisation. Not everything will work and we won’t say ‘yes’ to everything. Some things might not be appropriate, some might be practically impossible or too expensive, others you might not need us for – but we will happily talk to anyone about what they would like to try or do.

It is possible that we might invite other people into that design process too – as an idea begins to take shape we might contact other people in Yellow, either individually or collectively, that we think have relevant skills and interests interested in getting involved in the development of an idea.

This way of working is what ‘responsive design’ we spoke of in the original Guide looks like in this new form of Yellow. And it comes with a high degree of of uncertainty - we don’t know what will be suggested, or if anything will be suggested at all. What Yellow becomes will largely depend on the kind of suggestions we get and how engaged people are.
