What won’t change is the essence, spirit and mood of Yellow. This has always been hard to describe precisely. That difficulty won’t go away. We still want to create and hold spaces that are open, non-goal driven and reflective, where people can explore personal and professional questions, hunches or yearnings that don’t have a natural home anywhere else.

For Yellow, a sharp definition isn’t possible. Precision is neither possible nor desirable - some things just can’t be nailed down without killing them. Though we continue to work on how we describe Yellow, sounding vague is a price we are willing to pay. Our paradoxically firm belief is that a space for ambiguity and emergence is sorely needed. In modern life there are so few places where we can devote a little time and attention to things you can’t quite explain or articulate, even to yourself. Yellow endeavours to be a place that welcomes such disquiet, rather than ignoring it, or seeking to banish or eliminate it.
