Yellow is unusual and it isn't for everyone.
It is a contrast to the courses, programmes or coaching we are familiar with.
To understand this, it helps to expand on what it is and what it isn't.
Yellow is...
- a creative space not a curriculum
- intimate group not a large class
- participant (practitioner) centred not subject matter centred
- responsive not programmed
- ongoing not one-off
- networked not institutional
- conversational not presentational
- 20% stimulation, 80% participation (not vice versa)
- head, heart and hand not just intellect
- diverse collaborators not subject matter experts
- playing to technology’s strengths, not trying to replicate physical meetings
- fluid not rigid
- 'a' not 'the' - one way, not the way
Though we do have an elevator speech, we are well aware that definitions can be limiting.
And Yellow is not one thing - it is a 'family' concept.
